  • ABOUT THE NRL VOICE AGAINST VIOLENCE PROGRAM:

    Delivered to secondary schools and Community Rugby league Clubs across Australia and the Pacific, the purpose of the Voice Against Violence (VAV) workshop is to increase participants awareness and understanding of the serious issue of gender-based violence. Participants are provided with insights into what violence is, the different forms it takes, the consequences and why it occurs. the VAV workshop is 90min to 2 hours length

  • I   *   *    as parent/guardian of the above student give my consent for him/her to participate in the Rugby League Program and for the ARLC and/or NRL to store the above players details on a database for registration purposes and in accordance with the NRL's Privacy Policy and Collection Statement.

  • NRL COMMUNITY PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • These terms and conditions should be read with the National Rugby League Limited's (NRL) Privacy Policy AND Collection Statements, copies of which are available www.playrugbyleague.com. Capitalised terms or phrases in these terms and conditions have the same meaning as in the Privacy Policy, unless defined otherwise herein. In providing information into the NRL Community registration or survey forms (the Information), the Club, the School, and the Participant (or if the Participant is over 18 years of age at the time of providing the Information, that Participant's parent or legal guardian) agree:

    1. The Information is true, correct and accurate.

    2. The Information will be held on a national database maintained by the NRL.

    3. The Information may be used and siclosed by the NRL and the leagues in accordance with and for the purposes specified in the NRL's Privacy Policy, including (without limitation) processing registrations, organising, staging and conducting Competitions and providing Rugby League related information and offers from the NRL, the Leagues and Rugby League Adminstrators.

    4. The Participant has voluntarily provided, in the registration or survey forms, some Sensitive Information relating to ethnicity, heritage and medical conditions. this information assists the NRL, the Leagues and Rugby League Adminstrators to adopt a need-based approach to the administration and development of Rugby League and to ensure that is an inclusive sport. 

     

    Indemnity and compliance

     

    5. It is a condition of participation in any NRL Community program that the Participant and/or his parent or legal guardian acknowledges and agrees:

    (a) That the Participant will not make any claim against the NRL for damages in negligence or contract related to any alleged act or omission of the NRL for injury arising out of any program,activity or training under the control or supervision of the NRL:

    (b) That, in the event of any person commencing any proceedings against the Participant for any assault or negligence causing injury, the Participant hereby indemnifies the NRL against any order of the Court including any award for damages, legal costs and disvursements which may be awarded or ordered against any of them;

    (c) That the indemnity and waiver provided by the Participant herein may be pleaded in bar to any such proceedings aforesaid;

    (d) If the participant shall suffer any injury including death whilst engaged or participating in the NRL Community programs and a cause of injury was the negligence,trespass, assualt or a breach of other obligations imposed by law, then the liability of the NRL is limited to the extent of any isurance policy held by the NRL and the amount which such insurer is liable to pay under the policy, and/or the amount of insurance payable by any applicable statutory insurance schemes.
